Alas Kedaton Temple is a temple with a small monkey forest located in Kukuh countryside, Marga Sub district, Tabanan Regency. It approximately take one hour to reach Alas Kedaton from Denpasar City. The monkey forest is located in the middle of a rice field on a land about 12 hectares, the natural green scenery in this forest creates a calm and holy atmosphere. The monkeys that dwell Alas Kedaton are very tame and friendly. They will show their funny attitude and greet all visitors by jumping up and down the wall, taking bath and playing in the moat or even hanging around the trees and leaves. Besides monkey, visitors may see bats in this forest.
There are four entrance and three yards in Alas Kedaton Temple, the external, middle and center yard. The main temple shrine is located in the center yard around the center yard is the middle yard. Surrounding the middle yard is the external yard it is represented as the holy yard. On special Hindu holidays, many Balinese people come to Alas Kedaton and pray to worship God and its Manifest. On the way to reach this temple, visitors will see beautiful panorama of rice field which makes this place an interesting place to visit. Before leaving the temple area, there are some stalls selling clothes and other Balinese Souvenir of visitors who wish to shop and buy some Balinese souvenir. This tourist attraction is opened Daily from 08:00am until 18:00pm.
